  • Program using Ozobot Blockly
  • Students will explore the depths of the ocean
  • Includes coding mat, lessons and accessories

Calling all deep sea divers! Jump in the coding fun Challenge Mat: Ocean Explorer edition. This STEM coding activity brings the ocean to life through activities anchored in four ocean zones: intertidal, sunlight, twilight, and midnight. Students learn the foundations of Ozobot Blockly using the Exploration Basics cards and extend their learning by completing challenges using the Deep Exploration cards.

Standards-aligned lesson content is available in Ozobot Classroom to take the challenges further as students learn about the ocean. The intertidal zone holds an opportunity to share plants and animals living in a diverse landscape between land and sea. The sunlight zone presents research and history learning by programming Ozobot to participate in an underwater archeological dig. The twilight zone showcases awareness of the diversity of aquatic life where Ozobot is programmed to “take pictures” of the strange and marvelous creatures it encounters. Finally, the midnight zone takes Ozobot on its deepest dive of all to study the wide variety of coral found in the deepest parts of the ocean.

This Challenge Mat is a complete kit with accessories for Evo, challenge cards and a 61cm x 84cm (24" x 33") coding mat.
